  • Side By Side: A Celebration of Service is a first-of-its-kind event honoring military service. The two-part event on Saturday, May 25, will honor Northwell’s commitment to veterans and their families, and celebrate their service and sacrifice throughout the years.

As the pinnacle event during NYC Fleet Week 2019, Side By Side will be a fun-filled day of musical performances, military exhibits, inspirational conversation and more at Rockefeller Center.  Later that evening, multi-platinum pop-rock band Imagine Dragons will play Radio City Music Hall and Northwell Health will be providing free tickets to hundreds of military service members, veterans and their families.

Day Program at Rockefeller Center:

• Entry
  • Street level at Rockefeller Center is free to public, first come, first serve for best viewing locations. Admission to the Summer Garden is reserved for a private function.
• Rain or Shine
  • The festival is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain, we recommend water resistant clothing or umbrellas. In the event of sunshine, we advise sunglasses and sunscreen.

  • No illegal vending is permitted. No unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed.
• Safety & Medical
  • Your health is Northwell Health’s number one priority. There will be Northwell Health EMTs and NYC safety personnel onsite at Rockefeller Center.  If you see anyone at Side By Side who appears to be in need of medical assistance, please inform a Northwell Health EMT or NYC police officer.
• ADA & Accessibility

  • Parking – Individuals with disabilities, who possess a New York City Special Parking Permit, have the option to park on streets and avenue around the venue. Please pay careful attention to the rules and regulations on the back of your permit, which informs you where you may and may not park on New York City streets. Please note that New York City does not honor the blue New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut or any other out of state issued parking hangtag for the disabled or license plate for on-street parking. The Department of Transportation may ticket and/or tow vehicles that do not display the New York City Department of Transportation issued parking permit.   • Subway – Take the 1 to 50th St./Broadway; or take the B, D, F or M to 47th-50th/Rockefeller Center.

• Parking
  • It’s New York City, take public transportation – we don’t recommend driving. But, if you must, there are several public lots in the vicinity of Rockefeller Center.
