March is a very busy time of year for the City of West Hollywood. With West Week starting up yesterday, and those warm, sunny Los Angeles days becoming evermore frequent, the city is livelier than ever.
Last night, the stores on Robertson Boulevard between Beverly Boulevard and Melrose Avenue, in the West Hollywood Design District, got together and hosted a block party sponsored by Quick-Step Flooring. Guests shop-hopped among: Amadi Carpets, Between the Sheets, Block and Chip, Erinn V Design Group, Klein Epstein & Parker, Osborne Design House, Retrospecs & Co., and Snaidero.
Celebrity interior designers Dann Foley and Nancy Hadley of NBC’s American Dream Builders joined the celebration supporting fellow cast-mate Erinn Valencich, Owner of Erinn V Maison.
“For our third annual West Week kick-off party, I wanted to get all the stores on my block involved and celebrate the terrific assortment of design boutiques and international brands that are located right here in the West Hollywood Design District,” said Erinn Valencich, Owner of Erinn V Maison. “For this year’s event, I updated my showroom with some White Wash Oak Reclaimé flooring from Quick-Step, which instantly changed the cold cement floor into an elegant space. We brought in new pieces for 2014 from my furniture line, Erinn V, as well as some gorgeous lighting. A party isn’t complete without delicious drinks, and my friends over at Revel Spirits and Laughing Glass brought it!”
It can be difficult for busy business owners and professionals in the community to take time out of their day to relax and enjoy their city with fellow friends and peers. The block party was just the solution for that. The event was packed as we found our way around the block going from store to store. Each one welcomed guests with an open door, presenting their beautiful displays and products alongside delicious hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and the occasional margarita. The atmosphere was that of an intimate party. A live jazz band playing at Amadi Carpets poured into the streets setting an overall feeling of liveliness and unity.
As hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and conversation flowed, the festivities lasted well into the night. Everyone was happily conversing with old friends while new friendships were being formed. Seeing the community of West Hollywood create such a fun and inviting evening is always a wonderful sight.
