With a walk score of 95, West Hollywood is a city best experienced on foot, and last Sunday, thousands of visitors did just that. An estimated 2,000 runners made their way through the city and district on April 19th during the Sunset Strip Half Marathon and 5K. The first annual race began and finished in West Hollywood Park, guiding runners east on Melrose Avenue to Beverly Boulevard in the design district, before heading north to Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevards.
Thousands of runners participated and helped “raise funds for local charity partners including the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, Team To End AIDS and the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research.” (1).
