Seeking a Caffeine Kick? Two Artisanal Cafes Head to the WHDD

If the neighborhood wasn’t buzzing already, two artisanal cafes plan to bring some caffeinated brews to Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard next month.

VERVE COFFEE ROASTERS

Santa Cruz-based Verve Coffee Roasters is expanding their LA footprint with three more locations, the first being a design district outpost at the corner of Melrose Avenue and Almont Drive. (source). Verve currently offers locally-roasted beans (for wholesale too), merchandise and killer brews inside their downtown flagship boasting an urban aesthetic, complete with high ceilings and white marble walls. You can expect equal attention to be paid to the Melrose interior design as well –the pastel, tile flooring in their outdoor patio is certainly Instagram-worthy.

ASSEMBLY CAFE

Bringing with it a similar dedication to quality, craft and sustainability, The Assembly café plans to create a community space outfitted with curated retail: think socially-responsibly leather goods, hand-made home and paper products and inspirational tableware. We got a peek at the wood detailing on their bar counter and couldn’t be more eager for The Assembly to unveil the rest of their space.
